New car finance deals on models from Volvo, Volkswagen and Nissan, plus online brokers
Advertisement

Even though 18-plate cars are now a common sight on UK roads, many dealers still wish
rather more people were buying new cars. Indeed, car sales have been slower so far in 2018 than in many previous years.

To lure buyers into the showroom, dealers are offering a broad variety of attractive incentives and there are some great limited-period deals to be snapped up. We search for the best of these every week, and you"ll find them just below this intro. Finance deals can include dealer finance contributions, attractive interest rates and, occasionally, cash discounts.

• Britain"s best-selling cars

Scroll a little further down the page and you"ll see the regular deals that car brands are offering for this financial quarter, but before looking at these it"s worth taking a look at what online brokers can offer. Firms such as Buyacar can often beat the deals offered by bricks-and-mortar showrooms – right now Buyacar has dozens of new and pre-registered cars that start at less than £100 per month.

Pre-registered cars can be extremely good value – many have only ever been driven off a transporter, and have been registered simply to boost a dealer"s "new car" sales figures. We"ve produced a guide that offers advice about buying a pre-registered car. We can also offer help on choosing the right car for your needs.

Don"t forget that it always pays to negotiate, and you might secure a healthy discount by simply haggling with a salesperson. If you"re a nervious negotiator, we can help you drive a bargain with our guide to securing the right deal. You might also find that your existing car is worth more than you think in part exchange. Following controversy surrounding diesel emissions, several manufacturer scrappage schemes are still in action, which might tempt you to trade in your older, less efficient diesel for a new, less polluting model.

Read on for our in-depth guide to the best new and nearly new car deals, including those from manufacturer websites and online brokers.

Deals from brokers

With such competitive offers from manufacturers and dealers, online brokers need to work hard to keep up. This week’s top broker deal shows that your business has never been more welcome.

BuyaCar deals

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has returned as a sharp-creased crossover after a six-year hiatus.

The interior isn’t as nice to be in as many other crossovers - but it"s packed with kit, like a head-up display, Apple CarPlay, and a 360-degree parking camera. A top spec ‘4’ model starts from £25,240, but pre-registered cars cost as little as £20,995, representing a £4,245 saving.

The old-shape Citroen C4 Cactus is a wonderfully quirky looking thing. Take one look at those airbumps and you know you’re peeking at a car designed by people who find normal boring.

Those airbumps have been significantly reduced in size in the new car, which is why we’re suggesting this old model. From new, a new C4 will set you back at least £17,965. However, 2018, old shape cars start from as little as £9,995.

You might not have heard of the Infiniti Q60, let alone seen one. It’s a striking looking car, from the Infiniti marque, which is the luxury sub-brand of Nissan.

Those looks, the 3.0-litre V6 engine, and the exclusivity do come at a price, as in this engine configuration prices start at £43,575. But buying pre-registered can save you nearly £10,000.

MINI’s Cooper has long been admired by many and bought by many many more. Go-kart like steering and endlessly customisable exteriors and interiors keep people flocking to forecourts in their thousands.

Coopers start from £17,345 from new, but if you’re willing to buy one that’s already covered around 100 or so miles, you could save yourself around £2,000.

Broadspeed deals

Broadspeed can put you behind the wheel of a stylish Renault Twingo GT with the 110bhp 0.9-litre engine for £12,755 – a saving of £1,495 on the RRP of £14,255. After the company"s fee is added, you can drive away for £12,959.

Carfile deals

Carfile is offering big discounts on the Skoda Kodiaq SUV. This means you can choose a 1.4-litre petrol Kodiaq S for £19,888 – a saving of £2,742 over the £22,630 list price.

If you have an eye on something else, additional discounts are available on certain new, unregistered cars in the company’s stock.
